Start your day off with an healthy, easy, and tasty breakfast!
1/2 cup oats (gluten-free)
1/2 cup non-dairy milk (or water)
1/4 cup blueberries
1 tsp maple syrup (or agave/date syrup)
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Drizzle of peanut butter
1 tbsp flaxseeds
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
Additional optional toppings:
1 tbsp chia seeds
Crushed up almonds
Vegan chocolate chips
Step by step:
To a small saucepan on medium heat, add in your oats, non-dairy milk, and maple syrup
Stir all the ingredients together and allow to cook for approximately 4-5 minutes, or until the oats reach a boil and are cooked through
While the oats are being prepared, slice up half of a banana
When oats are ready, carefully transfer them to a heat safe bowl
Top with banana, blueberries, and all the rest of your toppings, and enjoy!
For overnight oats, place all ingredients from step 1 into an airtight container; mix or shake until the ingredients are well combined; allow to sit in the fridge for at least 6 hours; add fruits and any additional toppings; shake well, and enjoy!
