A healthier chocolate cake for any occasion!
Chocolate cake is perfect for birthdays, celebrations, an afternoon snack- or really any occasion!
This chocolate cake is not only made with wholesome and clean ingredients, but it is also soft, sweet, and done in 7 easy steps - making it a great option for a healthy & tasty snack 💛

Ingredients:
Dry:
1 1/2 cups oat flour (gluten-free if desired)
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 cup coconut sugar
Pinch of salt
Wet:
1 cup unsweetened oat milk (or any other non-dairy milk of choice)
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (look for peanut butter with no added oils or sugars)
1/3 cup maple syrup
Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract
Step-by-step:
Preheat oven to 375 °F
In a large bowl, combine the oat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and coconut sugar
In a separate bowl, whisk together the oat milk, apple sauce, peanut butter, and maple syrup
Slowly fold your wet ingredients into the dry ingredients
Pour batter into a 9 inch non-stick cake pan
Place in the oven and allow to bake for 40-45 minutes (until a knife or toothpick comes out clean when placed into the center of the cake)
Allow to cool slightly, serve, and enjoy!
