Chocolate Cake (vegan, gluten free, oil free, naturally sweetened)

An easy-to-make and delicious healthy chocolate cake

Ingredients:


Dry:

1 1/2 cups oat flour (gluten-free if desired)

1 tbsp baking powder

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 cup coconut sugar


Wet:

1 cup unsweetened oat milk (or any other non-dairy milk of choice)

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (look for peanut butter with no added oils or sugars)

1/3 cup maple syrup


Step-by-step:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 ยฐF

  2. In a large bowl, combine the oat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and coconut sugar

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the oat milk, apple sauce, peanut butter, and maple syrup

  4. Slowly fold your wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and combine

  5. Pour batter into a 9 inch non-stick cake pan

  6. Place in the oven and allow to bake for 40-45 minutes (until a knife or toothpick comes out clean when placed into the center of the cake)

  7. Allow to cool slightly, serve, and enjoy!
