Strawberry crumble (vegan, gluten free, naturally sweetened)

A sweet & nourishing summer-inspired dessert

This strawberry crumble is my absolute favorite to make during the summer because even though it goes in the oven, the sweet flavor of the strawberries combined with the light texture of the crumble always reminds me of warm weather and sunshine.

With only 6-ingredients required, and 8-steps to put together, this recipe is a great go-to for beginners in baking, or anyone looking to make a healthy summer dessert!


1 lb strawberries (rinsed, dried, and sliced)

2 cups oats (gluten free)

1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)

1/2 cup coconut sugar

1/3 cup coconut oil (melted)

Sprinkle of cinnamon

1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit

  2. Slice your strawberries, and place them side by side in a baking tray (I use a 2 qt 11x7 baking tray)

  3. Using a blender (or food processor) blend one cup of oats on medium speed until oat flour is formed (crumbly oat flour is okay for this recipe)

  4. In a large bowl, combine the remainder of your oats with your oat flour, chopped walnuts, cinnamon, and chocolate chips

  5. Pour the melted coconut oil over the mixture and combine using a spatula

  6. Pour the mixture over the sliced strawberries

  7. Place in oven for 15-20 minutes (until golden brown)

  8. Serve and enjoy!
